Tools
Here is a list of software and hardware that I have used over the years and that I am particularly fond of.
Software
Max/MSP/Jitter
For stage or interactive work, Max/MSP is generally my main tool. I have been using this software since 2003. I have developed several tools, notably Max ToolBox and Max Package Downloader. I also use Max to create psychology experiments for BRAMS.
Sony Vegas
I started using Vegas in 2001 during my D.E.C. in cinema at Cégep de Saint-Laurent. It is my tool of choice for all editing, both audio and video, as well as for basic compositing. As a professional editor I had the opportunity to use Vegas to edit the TV series “Jeunes reporters sans frontières”, broadcast on TV5 in 2004 and on Canal Vox in 2005.
Python
I learned the Python language while developing the TamTam software suite for the XO laptop of the One Laptop Per Child project. I have been using this language for various projects ever since. I developed the phue library to control the Philips Hue lighting system.
